Stagmatoptera femoralis - Black spot mantis

A very popular species, not often available. originates from Colombia, keeper level - for both beginners and experienced.

Fully grown 8-9cm

Keep between 25-30c (day temps)

humidity of 60-70%

You will receive a i2/i3 Nymph, Currently feeding on hydei fruit flys. 

Once i4+. A gradual increase in food size  onto green bottle, blue bottle flys. supports healthy growth and reflects the natural diet. Other feeders such as Dubia roaches are another great source of food for them. We have found feeding them a smaller medium size roach when approaching maturity is best.

Appearance:

The colour differentiation between the sexes. While the females are bright yellow in colour, the males are an intense green.

An enclosure that is 30cm tall is most appropriate for this species.
